Gala Dark Baron

Discovered as an Italian bud mutation of Royal Gala. Typically medium-sized and spherical with exceptionally deep red-purple skin. Early ripening, typically maturing in early August. It is crisp, juicy, yellow flesh with caramel notes. Unlike lighter apple varieties, Dark Baron develops its rich color naturally due to cool Himalayan nights and strong sunlight exposure, which enhance pigmentation and sweetness. The flesh is firm, juicy, and dense, offering a satisfying bite with a balanced taste—predominantly sweet with a subtle tangy edge. This combination makes Dark Baron ideal for both fresh consumption and premium gifting.
